"And on earth peace," the angels sang to the shepherds.  
Peace they sang to those on the edge of town, the edge
of the community; peace they sang to those who lived
outside the circles of power; peace they sang at the
borders of Bethlehem, the city that still bleeds.  
Peace, peace, peace.
